No, you take him!

by Bruce Wadd

There is always one kid in the class. It may have been you!  Let me explain…

The two captains, chosen to pick teams for an exciting afternoon game, are debating a really important topic.  The teams have been picked, almost!  There is only one person left standing, treated as a rejected pawn, because no one wants this terrible player on their team.

He can overhear the debate raging amongst all the ‘sports’ people. “No, you take him,” declared one of the captains in his final statement.  These words cut to the very core of this forgotten and dejected student. He quickly learns that he’s not cool. He’s the last person in the whole class to be chosen!

What a horrible scenario!  The pain is something that many kids carry into their adult lives. If this reality hits home for you, please take note…

“But Jesus said, ‘Let the little children come to me,

and don’t prevent them.

For of such is the Kingdom of Heaven.”

Matthew 19:16

You have been chosen.  The ultimate price has been paid for your life.  The negative thoughts that you may have about who you are… are lies!  You will never hear Jesus saying… “no, you take him”. Instead, He says come!

Today… you take Him!
