Turning things around

by Bruce Wadd

Sometimes life is like a Formula One car on a wet track.  At any moment, whilst driving at top speed, you could be spinning off and crashing, having no control over what happens.

When watching the Brazilian Grand Prix, rain was the dominating force in the race.  Despite the downpours ceasing at the start, the track remained wet and dangerous.

On lap seventeen one car hit a section of very fast corner and aquaplaned straight into a safety barrier whilst other cars sped past.  It was only a matter of half a lap later and a second car ploughed into this first one, duplicating the spin of the first.

Then the master driver, Michael Schumacher, followed these two off the track and into the wall.  Despite being the world champion, he spun and crashed.

The great thing about these crashes is that tyre manufacturers and motor engineers take note of the disasters and cleverly use it to make an even more competitive race car.

Did you know that everything that happens to you can be used for good by God?  He is the master engineer of ‘turning things around’.

Paul, the apostle, showed us his attitude to difficulties…

“Everything that has happened to me here has been a great boost in getting out the Good News concerning Christ.”  Philippians 1:12

TODAY, take note of the challenges, they can turn into future victories!
