The end of the book written

by Bruce Wadd

My teenage son has several favourite hobbies, but one of them is definitely not reading.  Last term he was given a rather lengthy novel, and in his wisdom he decided that the best thing he could do, mainly to avoid reading the book, was to read the first and last chapters – one of the oldest school tricks!

Now I know none of you would ever consider doing that, but in his case, he adequately passed his assignment and test, even with his scant knowledge.

Whilst I am not recommending a change to this style of knowledge gain, don’t forget that the end of your exciting book – your life – has already been written.  You can read it with great certainty, despite the circumstances and feelings that you might be experiencing today.

The final chapter was written 2000 years ago when Jesus Christ chose to sacrifice His life for you, and thus put the final words of your life in place.  Read carefully…

“Your real life is in heaven with Christ and God.”

Colossians 3:3

So whatever happens TODAY, you can smile and know that your last chapter has already been written!
