Struggling to rest

by Bruce Wadd

Walking up the hill through an unpathed area was a struggle.  But it was the only way I knew how to connect between two tracks on my bush walk.

On this particular morning trek, I thought I would venture a little further than normal on my first track before tackling the arduous climb to my second route.

I finally reached the top, out of breath, and needed to rest for a moment.  As I stopped I noticed it, bringing a huge smile to my face.  There, only twenty meters to the side around the hill, was a path, previously unknown to me, connecting the two tracks.

Immediately I thought, ‘If I had only hung in a little longer on the first path! I would have saved this entire struggle!’

Ever wondered about this Christian thing?  Does it seem way harder than you first thought?  Have you wondered how long you can keep going?

Contemplate the verse below…. It may change your perspective!

“They don’t understand that Christ gives

to those who trust in Him everything they are

trying to get by keeping His laws.

He ends all that!”

Romans 10:4

Christ has done it ALL… for you. TODAY! Rest … and keep going!
