Mirror pain

by Bruce Wadd

When you start looking in the mirror and your body is beginning to clearly say that it’s no longer the supple teenage shape of the past, there is pain.  With middle age showing in wrinkles, blotches and bulges on various parts of this human frame the pain increases.

Emotional pain, plastic surgery, hair colouring, increased exercise, a changed diet, a risqué affair – are all possible responses to this morning gaze!

It’s so easy to look at yourself and see faults.  But, let me uncover something a little deeper!

The devil wants to capture your mind on side issues, particularly your shortcomings!  And if you are anything like me, there is no shortage!

But isn’t it much more important how God sees you?  Since Jesus’ death on the cross, God can only see perfection, because Christ took ALL sin, including yours, and paid the ultimate price with His DEATH!

The devil’s lies of imperfections in your life are false!  Jesus died so that you can have life eternal. In Him you are perfect!

Remember...

“Nothing will ever be able to separate us from the love of God demonstrated by our Lord Jesus Christ

when He died for us.”

Romans 8:39

TODAY, stand excited, and perfect… in front of your mirror!
