Hummingbird’s chorus

by Linda Messner

Sitting on the deck and reading, at the end of particularly stressful day, I heard what sounded like a huge bumblebee.

Looking up, I saw a hummingbird hovering in front of me.  There were flowers nearby, plenty of sources of pollen, but the hummingbird stayed directly in front of me – and sang!  For almost a minute I was privileged to listen to a private concert given entirely for my benefit.

God knew how very much I needed that reminder of the beauty of His creation.

I couldn’t help but think of the Creator connecting with that hummingbird and saying ‘go sing to Linda, she needs you right now.’

“Come and see what God has done,

how awesome His works on man’s behalf”

Psalms 66:5

What an awesome and caring God we serve!
