Writer’s guidelines

Today's Thought is written to a very simple formula: take a simple life event, link it with one spiritual thought and then confirm it with scripture. Limit all words to one screen space or a one-minute multimedia broadcast.

MAXIMUM!

Why? The 21st century person is more pressured with many competing agendas in their life. Information attacks their life like hail pelting from the sky – there seems to be no let up! Truth, therefore, needs to be presented in a direct, minimalist, succinct, yet profound manner!

I'm after… that MOMENT OF PAUSE!

Just a twist of connection, something out-of-the-ordinary, maybe even a mundane thing viewed from a new perspective, then linked with a deeper spiritual and scriptural truth designed to get a person’s attention.

Once exposed, God, has many ways of revisiting this truth in the time ahead, connecting with an event or circumstance to confirms the thought, and establish a deeper level of light in that person's life. He has promised…

“So also is My Word. I send it out and it ALWAYS produces fruit.

It shall accomplish ALL I want it to,

and prosper EVERYWHERE I send it.”

Isaiah 55:11

You can expect productivity from your writing, but you’ve got to have a go first… then refine until it is excellent!

Here’s several scenarios you may be writing for… [Add your own scenario so your writing becomes even more profound!]

Just a reminder…

TT is not...

  • designed to be deeply theological

  • designed to be academic

  • designed to be a long or arduous read

Having read all this…

Are you still driven to communicate the Gospel of Jesus Christ, then why not contemplate the following…

“And I CAN'T QUIT! For if I say I’ll never again mention the Lord – never more speak in His name – then His word in my heart is like fire that burns in my bones, and I can’t hold it in any longer.” Jeremiah 20:9
