Chasing mercury by
Many students somewhere during their schooling have the opportunity to experiment with mercury, because of it's unique qualities.
If you were to put a little puddle of this liquid onto a bench and then try to pick it up with your fingers, it would defy every attempt to be captured in your hands. It just seems to have a life of it's own!
Today I wanted to highlight the fact that gaining spiritual authority is incredibly similar to chasing mercury. Nothing that you do can capture true authority in the spiritual world, except to submit your life, and will, to the Creator of the universe, the Giver of all good things.
If you try and create spiritual authority yourself, it will be originated by your flesh, and will always stay unsubmitted to God – a futile exercise!
Here’s a truth to consider…
“God gives strength to the humble, but sets himself against the proud and haughty.” James 4:6b
TODAY, submit to Him, and ‘mercury’ will be the prize!
