In this video, you are going to learn about the top 10 worship songs for 2018. This analysis was created specifically for worship leaders. If you are responsible for selecting songs for your church to sing, watch this video to the end because I’ll share insight on the meaning of each song that will help you in your worship planning process.

Here’s my question of the day. Which of these top ten songs are your favorite? Let me know below in the comments

As a worship leader, I like to know what other churches around the globe are singing. Of course we need to discern what songs are best for our individual congregations. But I think it can be extremely valuable to analyze the data provided by Christian Copyright Licensing International on the most popular songs being sung today. Chances are if a song is sung at thousands or tens of thousands of churches, it could be a great fit for your church. I also think the collective wisdom of the universal church weeds out songs that are not singable or have poor theology.

CCLI is a licensing company that has more data than anyone else on what songs churches are singing any given Sunday. The list I’m about to share with you is not based on my own opinion. It’s based on objective data from CCLI. I went their Top 100 list and ranked the songs by popularity. I think this is the most up to date way to see what is popular among churches. Starting with number ten and working our way down to #1, I’ll share some thoughts on the meaning of each song which will help you determine how to use it in a worship gathering. So let’s get started.

  1. My favorite on this list is "What A Beautiful Name" by Hillsong Worship. I think it's gonna be in the top ten for a looong time. What is your favorite? Let me know! 👇(Also, sorry about the typo on #8. It should say "King of My Heart" like what I say in the video.)

  2. Nice list but are you familiar with any Praise and Worship songs made by Black Artists Hispanics? Asians? There are many amazing songs that are not a part of your lists. Why is that🙄?

  3. 10. No Longer Slaves
    9. Do It Again
    8. King of My Heart
    7 Build My Life
    6. 10k Reasons
    5. This Is Amazing Grace
    4. O Come to The Altar
    3. Great Are You Lord
    2.What A Beautiful Name
    1.Reckless Love

  4. For all the people saying that they love reckless Love. It is not biblically correct it is saying Gods love for us is messy and messed up. That is what you think about when the word comes up. In no way is his love reckless. Sorry if I just ruined your favourite song but it is true. All the other songs are great though!

  5. Awesome, brother. I'm a learner in the field of music and I devote my channel to music and the Lord Jesus Christ. Please check out some of my songs, and please give your inestimable feedback. Eagerly awaiting. Regards.

  6. These mega church heretics love the so called worship music they use to worship the flesh.

Exclusive Pslamody starts to be a lot better sounding with so much horrible theology coming from a lot of so called modern worship.

  7. "King of My Heart" is one of my favorites, this song reminds me that I am not in control that our Heavenly Father is in charge of everything in my life. Thank you for sharing and giving your input on the meaning of the songs. God bless and have a wonderful day.

  8. Loved this list!!! It was reassuring to me that once it was all said and done, my church does 6 of these. Do it again, and Come to the Altar are two that I'd like to do, but currently don't do. Can't even say that I've heard "Build My Life".

  9. Do It Again always hit home for me. It's incredibly honest in the opening verse talking about expectations in faith that haven't come to fruition but still holding on to the hope that he will never fail. The bridge just punches me in the face, it's incredibly powerful I think 🙂

  10. 10,000 Reasons and This Is Amazing Grace are my least favorites of the 10. 10,000 Reasons isn’t a bad song I think I’ve just heard/played it too many times and I’m a little tired of it. This is Amazing Grace isn’t my favorite song musically, but other than that there isn’t anything wrong with it. Just not my favorite. I like all of the other songs on the list though! The only one we don’t currently do at my church is Build My Life but we plan on adding that one in the near future!

  11. No Longer Slaves—gets me SO fired up!
Great Are You Lord— It's His "breath in my lungs so I will pour out my praise"…for as long as I live. All things are from Him, so all things I'll give Him!
What A Beautiful Name—YES! "Death could not hold you. The veil tore before you…!!!"
Reckless Love—I'm a little burned out on this song already BUT it still gets to me. It wrecked my oldest daughter who did NOT like church and had no interest in God. She now sings with me on our worship team and it always moves me deeply when we get to sing this song together because it's a reminder to me that God is still moving mountains. God is so amazing!
