Set Builder

Worship leaders have a set of tasks that they must do: 

  • Pray about the songs that will be used that week.

  • Seek out "new songs" that will add to worship experience and keep it fresh.

  • Gather (sometimes prepare) lyric sheets, chord charts, sheet music, overheads and recordings (for new songs) for the worship team.

As a worship leader, you'll still have to do your own praying, but SetBuilder can help you find new songs and prepare them for your team to use.  SetBuilder helps you to gather and organise the needed support files.

Do I have to register?

To use SetBuilder you must be registered.  Registration is FREE.  The only information required is your email address and a password.  SetBuilder uses your email address to uniquely identify you.  It also registers you to receive a newsletter updating you on the new material being added to ShareSong.org.  

How does it work?

When you search for songs and get results, you will see a checkbox () that you can click () in the far right hand column to "tag" a song.  At the bottom of the search results there is a link that says "Add Selected Songs To Set". Click this link to run SetBuilder. You will be then asked to login if you haven't already, and the songs that you checked will be added to your "set".

Setbuilder program keeps track of your sets based on the date that you selected them. If you create a set on October 12th, 2001, it will be referred to as your 10/12/2001 set.

Your previously chosen sets are saved in the system and you can go back and review them anytime and you can tag songs that were in previous sets and add them to your current set.

When you've got your set completed, you have two choices.  You can download the support files so that they will be available to you offline or you can just work with SetBuilder and access the files online.  This decision is a matter of preference, but in most cases, it's probably easier to just work online.  If your Internet connection is slow and/or unreliable, downloading for later offline usage may be best.

If you use the download option, the files will be downloadable in a ZIP file format. When you unzip the file, the "use folder names" option should be enabled.  After unzipping, navigate to the "Files" folder and open the HTML file that is there.  It will provide links to the rest of the files.
