Shower screen protection

by Bruce Wadd

I’ve only ever had this conversation once in my life, only the other day, and it intrigued me enough to write about it.

My son, quite nonchalantly, stated that he didn’t like his shower.  I was puzzled because it was quite a large shower, very modern and clean, and much better than the previous shower he had been using – or so I thought.

“No Dad,” he retorted, “you don’t understand.” (A typical teenage response to unintelligent parents!)

“Our last shower didn’t have a curtain, which meant in cold weather you were used to the cold.  In this shower, when I open the door the cold air rushes in, and I don’t like that!” he informed me.

Sometimes conversations with your children are just so profound.  How, you ask?  Well, this dialogue reminded me of the protection that the Holy Spirit provides around our lives.  When evil comes, it is like opening the shower door, and letting cold air rush in – you notice it immediately.  Our lives need God’s protection on a continual basis.

Have you asked God into your life again today?

“You can be sure that the more we undergo sufferings

for Christ, the more He will shower us

with His comfort and encouragement.”

2 Corinthians 1:5

TODAY, know that God can guard you against every attack of evil!
