Passing the baton

by Bruce Wadd

Relays were the most significant races in my high school days because it meant the team worked together to reach its goal. Several times we did experience the euphoria of winning!

Take the baton away, what have you got?  A void race, a nil result, a disaster!

For many, life is like a relay race.  You were born into this world, firstly to receive from the previous generation, and then to pass something onto the next.  You will pass either a blessing or curse!

That deep desire to receive something positive from your heritage won’t go away until filled.

But the challenge for many of you is that you didn’t receive a blessing from your parents or grandparents. You hunger after something that you were never given!

Thank God that He can fill that void, so you can still send on blessing to your offspring, the blessing they need.

God’s blessing says,

“This is my beloved Son in whom I am well pleased.”

TODAY, God says the same to you; pass on the blessing!
