Multiplies in darkness

by Bruce Wadd

Cancer is a hideous thing.  It takes so many lives, ruins so many families, and generally brings stress to thousands of people’s lives every year.  You most likely have even been touched in some way by this disease.

The frustrating, yet fascinating, thing about this phenomenon is the simplicity of its development.  Cancer is a normal cell somewhere in the body getting out of control, malfunctioning and multiplying before anyone knows about it. [Please forgive my medical naivety!]

The current method used to attack this monster is to curb the rapid growth of dysfunctional cells – to get them out of the body, and overcome by normal cells.

In the spiritual world sin acts similarly to cancer! It multiplies rapidly whilst undetected.  It is only when light exposes the evil that there is any chance of arresting the dangerous activity.

Our Christian lives are thus one of continual exposure to God’s light, letting Him deal with the sin in our lives.

“If we confess our sins to Him, He can be depended on

to forgive us and to cleanse us from every wrong.”

1 John 1:9

TODAY, get into His light!
