Lip sync by
Driving every morning in peak hour traffic is never a joyous experience, so the local rock station provides welcome distraction to watching car brake lights.
The cars were bumper to bumper, and as usual, several cars were weaving between lanes. I was listening to a great song when this car suddenly weaved in front because of a slight gap in the traffic that I’d left.
Rather than being distracted by road rage, I got a brief glance of a young person singing at the top of his voice. I couldn’t hear much above my radio, but I briefly noticed the words he was mouthing – he was listening to the same song!
Ever thought that ‘lip syncing’ is just what we are asked to do with the Holy Spirit? We are designed to be a mouthpiece for God, and the Holy Spirit provides the thoughts via Scriptures, our minds, experiences and other people to guide our every step.
He has promised to direct us to the point of synchronising every part of our lives with His.
“And the Lord will guide you continually, and satisfy you with all good things, and keep you healthy too: and you will be like a well-watered garden, like an ever-flowing spring.” Isaiah 58:11
TODAY, ‘lip sync’ with God!
