Deflated tyre by Bruce Wadd
You are driving along and something doesn’t feel right. The next corner you drive around feels a bit different to normal, like the car is wandering somewhat. Then you brake at the next set of lights and you don’t pull up as quickly. The steering is becoming more difficult as well.
At the very next service station, you pull into the tyre pumping area, get out and inspect the tyre. It is obviously down. “I wonder what made that go down?” you think. You take stock of the situation, pump up the tyre and continue your journey.
Our Christian life can be so similar. So often we go along, with things not working properly. All sorts of signs tell us that something needs to change, and it is often when a friend stops us and shows concern that we check out the problem. Then we go to the repair source – Jesus – and get filled again!
God wants us to function above our problems. But if they take away from the fullness of our lives, He can return us to the overflowing nature of the life He offers. Let me give you the secret to operating efficiently, read below!
“…be filled instead with the Holy Spirit, and controlled by Him.” Ephesians 5:18
Today, find your closest inflation station… and get filled up! |
